Something shifted, and there's no obvious place to take it.

You started asking questions you can’t un-ask.

Your marriage is suddenly a mixed-faith marriage.

Family gatherings have started to feel like a performance.

You’re grieving something you’re not sure you are allowed to grieve.

You left, and nobody warned you it would feel like this.

You’re not sure you are leaving at all — you just need to think out loud.

This is a specialty here, not a footnote.

A faith transition touches almost everything at once — belief, family, marriage, community, sexuality, identity, and the ordinary rhythm of a week. Our therapists have specific training in this work and have sat with a lot of people in the middle of it. You won’t spend the first three sessions explaining the culture.

A faith transition from a high-demand religion invites an entire identity makeover.

Your first session

In our Cottonwood Heights office or by secure video. Talk only — you set the pace.

Not ready for individual therapy?

We run faith transition, religious trauma, and post-transition support groups. For a lot of people, a group is the easier first step — you’re in a room with people who already understand the shorthand.
You also control the pace. Nothing gets discussed before you’re ready to discuss it, and “I’m not ready to talk about that yet” is a complete sentence here.

Before you reach out ...

Do you work with people leaving the LDS Church?
Yes. Many of our clients are navigating a transition out of the Latter-day Saint faith, and several of our therapists have deep familiarity with that specific experience — the family dynamics, the community loss, the questions that don’t have tidy answers. We also work with people from other high-demand religious backgrounds, and with people who are staying and simply need somewhere to think.
No. Plenty of our clients are still practicing, still attending, and still deciding. Some stay. Some don’t. Some spend years in the middle. All of that is welcome here.
No. Our job is not to steer your beliefs in either direction. It’s to help you think clearly, grieve what needs grieving, and make your own decisions with support. A therapist who has an agenda for your faith — in either direction — isn’t doing therapy.
Regularly. Mixed-faith marriages are one of the most common reasons people come to us. Both partners get a voice, and neither one gets treated as the problem to be fixed.

[Please supply the accurate answer — accepted plans, superbills for out-of-network reimbursement, and typical self-pay rates. This is one of the top two reasons people don’t complete a booking.]

Yes. We see clients in our Cottonwood Heights office and by secure video anywhere in Utah. [Confirm current licensed states if telehealth extends beyond Utah.]

You don't have to have it figured out before you call.

That’s the whole point of the first conversation.

Whatever brought you to this page, it’s something our therapists have talked through many times before, without surprise and without judgment.
