Darby Mest | CSW

Therapist & Wellness Coach | Pronouns: she/her/they

Darby is passionate about creating inclusive spaces and helping people on their path toward mental wellness. She enjoys working with a diverse population, including folks who identify as BIPOC and LGBTQIA2S+. Darby uses a feminist multicultural lens and believes it is imperative to recognize systems of oppression when working with clients.

Darby works with various people and challenges, including emotional regulation, sexuality, relationships (including non-monogamy), life transitions, faith conflicts, and more. Darby is also a meditation and mindfulness teacher and often incorporates that into her sessions.

Darby received a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. She also received her BA in Theater Studies from the University of Utah. Darby loves the arts, supporting local businesses, attending concerts, hanging out in nature, watching sci-fi, and playing video games.

To quote Maya Angelou: “My mission in life is not merely to survive, but to thrive; and to do so with some passion, some compassion, some humor, and some style.” Darby believes that although healing is not always linear, some of our most significant challenges can create our most meaningful moments.

Darby is a Certified Social Worker in Utah.
