Stephanie Lobrot| MS, ACMHC
Therapist & Wellness Coach | Pronouns: she/her/hers
Life transitions can feel brutal. Changes in relationships, jobs, school, family dynamics, and belief systems can cause stress, anxiety, or depression. Life transitions often involve a painful loss and feelings of confusion. They force us to let go of the comfort of familiarity and face uncomfortable thoughts and emotions. With adaptive coping strategies and plenty of self-exploration, they can also be the launching point in which we heal old wounds and find new meaning in the retelling of our story.
As a trauma-informed mental health counselor at Symmetry Counseling, Stephanie brings empathy, compassion, and extensive life experience to therapy. She works to create a safe space and a trusting therapeutic relationship with her clients. She also uses a range of therapeutic modalities tailored to each client and their unique challenges, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy, and EMDR.
Stephanie believes that effective therapy must consist of scientifically informed and evidence-based treatments, yet she will always acknowledge that you are the true expert on you. Together, you and Stephanie will collaborate to find solutions and tools to help you navigate challenges while finding meaning and growth in the revision and re-telling of your life story.
Stephanie is an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Utah.
